GBBC Virtual Members Forum – EY on Managing Public Finances in Post-COVID-19 World

Transparency. Accountability. Service. Performance. Value. These are the outcomes governments throughout the world are striving to achieve. And yet, arguably, they all fall short and it is getting worse, not better. The sheer size and complexity of government makes it nearly impossible for public managers to cope in the traditional framework of information systems. With trillions of dollars of grants flowing through the public sector as a result of Coronavirus, the governments of the world more than ever need a system for tracking budget and performance against the funds being dispersed.
