Ask-Me-Anything about InterWork Alliance

Join us for an interactive “Ask-Me-Anything” (AMA) session on the InterWork Alliance, an initiative of the Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC), dedicated to simplifying the digital interchange of value through the creation of open standards, protocols, and specifications for tokenized business services.

The IWA recently merged with the GBBC, the leading global industry association for the blockchain technology system, and is spearheading a number of important standardization efforts globally through the development of its Token Taxonomy, InterWork, and Analytics Frameworks.

This AMA will be led by Robin Liebowitz (Digital Asset) with insights from John DeVadoss (NGD Enterprise), Marley Gray (Microsoft), Paul Rapino (IWA and GBBC).

About John DeVadoss:

John is the founder and President of ngd enterprise where he builds industry leading blockchain developer tools; his team has pioneered key capabilities wrt debugging, testing, and the inner dev loop to accelerate developer productivity. Previously, John was GM at Microsoft where he built and led .NET Architecture, Visual Studio tools for the enterprise, the Application Platform, and Microsoft Digital which he incubated into a 500M USD global business. He did his Phd work in Machine Learning; he is a published author with several books on technology and management; he writes regularly for cryptoslate, cointelegraph et al. John is motivated by the socio-economic implications of decentralized platforms and systems.

About Marley Gray:

Marley Gray currently serves as the Principal Architect for the Azure Multiparty Engineering team responsible for envisioning, developing and delivering the company’s multi-party strategy and platforms. He also leads applied innovation within industry contexts in Financial Services and Sustainability.

Marley established the Microsoft Blockchain platform and strategy in 2015, was a founder of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA) and serves as the Chairman for the InterWork Alliance. He is also the creator of the Token Taxonomy Framework (TTF) and is currently incubating next generation multi-party platforms focused on sustainability.

Marley’s information technology career spans more than 29 years. He specializes in software development, architecture and platform strategy matched with 20+ years immersed within financial services.

About Paul Rapino:

Paul Rapino is the Chief Growth Officer at the Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC). He is also on the Leadership team of the GBBC- Interwork Alliance (IWA)- Focused on Tokenization Standards and Industry Certification. Prior to this, Paul was Head of Growth and Ecosystem Development at IWA and reported to the IWA Board of Directors. He led the merger of IWA into GBBC.

In earlier work, Paul held leadership roles with two blockchain startups that focused on fractionalizing high-valued assets with tokenized payments and smart contracts. He also was a leader for TF Labs, managing blockchain conferences and podcasts. Prior to this, he was director of financial services at Microsoft in New York and Seattle for 18 years where he worked with financial institutions on digital strategy and marketing partnerships. Paul is inspired by the vision to help enterprise and startup companies drive the new “Token Economy.”

In addition to his work with GBBC, Paul is also the co-chairperson of the “Green Working Group” Global Standards Mapping Initiative (GMSI 2.0) and on the Steering Committee with the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) Cascadia Blockchain Council focused on working with business leaders and policymakers around blockchain technology. This includes work with WA State Division of Financial Institutions (DFI) and Policy Regulation. Paul lives in Seattle, WA and has twin 6th graders. He is an active community volunteer and coaches his children’s Basketball and Baseball teams.

About Robin Liebowitz:

Robin has over 25 years of experience building and transforming brands, and spearheading marketing and communications functions to drive growth and stakeholder engagement for both large and emerging technology, financial services, and professional services companies. Most recently she served as Global Head of Financial Services Marketing at Amazon Web Services (AWS) with responsibility for the holistic marketing strategy to position AWS as the leading Financial Services industry cloud provider. Prior to her role at AWS, Robin served in senior marketing roles with EY, Deloitte, Oliver Wyman/Marsh & McLennan, and Zurich Financial Services. Robin started her career in the agency world with APCO Worldwide and Grey Advertising.
